Malkamus (lyrics)

-DJL
Malkamus posts his messages to his daily online chat
While the Eels flow from the radio

The last time I saw her
She was crying
About something that mattered
then

I watch the cars go by through the window
I wonder how many of them will make it through the night

The last time I saw him
He was smiling
A broad and self-satisfied grin

I wonder if he will be smiling
When it all comes back to him?

I feel like I know what they are thinking
When they don’t look at me
Their silence screams
With insecurities
That ignorance creates.

Malkamus likes to drink his vodka to wash down his wine
She likes the messages he posts for her to wash down her life
And He just likes to pretend everything is all right
